[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Our Thanks

[attr="class","enc_sub"]We, the staff, would like to thank...

Aludium's templates, skin, application forms and coding were created by JD exclusively for Aludium. Images and icons were respectfully sourced from all over the internet. Site premise, rules and default threads were created by the Original Staff of Aludium. Further planetary developments and plots are and were created by the appropriate Planet Moderators. Characters and member creations belong to their respective Creators. Original canon Star Wars characters were created by George Lucas. Star Wars legends content was collectively created by hundreds of writers and production houses - see Wookieepedia for a full list. The Star Wars franchise is currently owned and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. This site is hosted by Proboards and makes no claim to previously trademarked material.

And finally, thanks to you! - our members are what keep us running. If you have any input, advice or suggestions for the forum, please don't hesitate to let us know and help us to keep Aludium growing!

The only way that Aludium can improve is by knowing what we can do better. And what we do well (so that we don't accidentally change something that is, in fact, a winner). We would, therefore, love to hear your comments - just send us any comments you have about the site and we'll be happy to look into it and see what we can do about improving the Aludium experience.

[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Moderation Team Requirements

[attr="class","enc_sub"]The very basics of the staffing team.

Before a member of the site could have even be considered for a moderator position, they had to have met certain requirements. These requirements are stated in the Becoming a Moderator thread, but quoted here for you convenience...

BE ACTIVE
Due to the fact that we cannot have inactive moderators, you need to be able to be active on the site. This means checking in at least once every other day or so. As with all members, it is obviously understandable for you to disappear for personal life reasons like exams, jobs or events, but you need to keep the other staff members informed of these absences, so that we can continue managing things in your stead until your return.

BE SKILLED
In order to encourage a good standard of roleplaying, you need to be active on the roleplaying boards, as well as the OOC boards, and producing the expected quality of writing. High levels of grammar and spelling accuracy, a zeal of creative writing and a few paragraphs per post on average. This is the standard that we ask all of our members to aim for in our Global Site Information page, but we expect our staff to adhere to this style of roleplaying more stringently, in order to lead by example.

BE HERE TO STAY
All applicants for a staff position must have 100 posts to their name. This can be across multiple character accounts, including any deceased characters, but needs to be over 100 posts in total. This is so that we have some assurance that you are a committed member of the site and aren't simply going to pop up, become staff and then disappear.

BE A TEAM PLAYER
Be someone that we like. This sounds like favouritism and we don't mean it in this way, but it is important to remember that we, as a moderation team, have to work together. We have discussions and debates on the Staff Board and all of our staffing positions look to each other for feedback and suggestions. We have a hierarchy in place to organise responsibilities and final decision makers, but we far more like to work together as a team. As such, you need to be someone that is a good listener, works well with others and is someone that we, as a team, believe would be an attribute to our group. It is great to be passionate about the site and have a lot of ideas, but if you express them in the wrong way, we won't be able to work with you.

BE DEDICATED
A dedication and love for Aludium is integral to being a staff member. We look for people who go out of their way to make the site great - not people who simply seek the rewards that come with the positions. While we offer credit bonuses and extra fun stuff in thanks to our staff members, we don't want these to be the driving force behind a moderator's motivations. Greed and personal achievement only ensures a dedicated staff member for a limited period of time. Someone who actually loves Aludium and wants to make the forum great works far better in a staff position.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Becoming a Moderator

These requirements are the basics of standard to be met by our staff, even after they have been appointed. As a member of the staff team, a moderator is expected to maintain the above criteria at all times.

[attr="class","enc_head"]II. List of Responsibilities

[attr="class","enc_sub"]The duties of a moderator.

In the Becoming a Moderator page, our staff team list the responsibilities expected of each moderator role. Below is each of these responsibilities, explained in more detail, for the benefit of members who want to know what they can expect from their staff team and to ensure that anyone considering applying for a staff position is fully informed of the expectations involved.

GLOBAL PLOT DEVELOPMENT
Ensuring that the main, global timeline and events are updated at appropriate times and with enough frequency to encourage new roleplayers. This includes making sure there are always active special missions either in play, or waiting for new roleplayers.

MONTHLY TARGETS CREATION
Each month Aludium has a writing target - this might be quantity, quality, the idea of writing combat, or romance or new encounters. It might be a theme or challenge to include a certain idea into your writing. It's an added feature, with no reward or bonus besides keeping the roleplaying threads diverse and interesting.

MONTHLY AWARDS MANAGEMENT
Every few days one of our Of The Month awards is given to a character/member/plot or thread. It is the staffs responsibility to ensure that the main page and our OTM page in the encyclopedia are updated with the appropriate information.

CHARACTER APPLICATION REVIEWS
All character applications go through our staff team - not just to check for acceptance of character, but that the code is all correct and accounted for and is placed in the character directory for all to see. This also includes updating the Newest Member bio on the Creation tab of the main page and seeing to the admin tasks for a new acceptance, including but not limited to: adding the character to the Who Wall, assigning their initial statistics and sending them a welcome message.

CANON AUTHENTICITY CHECKS
Is is the responsibility of staff to keep their eyes open for any Star Wars discrepancies - any information or written ideas that may contradict with the Star Wars canon universe.

ITEMS AND EMPORIUM MANAGEMENT
When a member purchases an item from the Aludium Emporium, a staff member must add that item to their backpack and increase the appropriate statistics to match, as well as deducting the credit cost of the item.

STAFF MODERATION
It is the responsibility of staff in higher levels of authority to keep track of those in lower levels. This is to ensure that they are following the expected standards and duties laid out on this page.

MEMBER MODERATION
Part of a staff member's role is to ensure that the members of the site are following the global rules of the forum and adhering to the expected standards of behaviour. If not, it is their responsibility to ensure that the situation is corrected.

SITE ADVERTISEMENT
An important part of any staff position is helping to get Aludium's advertisement out to as many people as possible and therefore increase our member list. More members equals more roleplaying, more planets and more fun!

MISCELLANEOUS ADMIN TASKS
All over the site, you'll find little admin tasks that need completing - responding to requests submitted by members, updating boards with new information, or simply making sure to welcome newcomers to the site and responding to any concerns or queries in the help and discussion boards.

[attr="class","enc_head"]III. Applying to be a Moderator

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Wanting to join the team?

If, after reading the above, you're interested in becoming a member of the moderation team, simply go to the Becoming a Mod page in our encyclopedia and read up on the different roles and the rewards that come with them. We, the staff team, announce any general staff hunts we have on-going but we're also open to voluntary applications, at any time. Just click the link below to find out more.

[attr="class","enc_head"]V. Reporting a Moderator

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Worried about a member of the moderation team?

If you're concerned that a member of our staff team isn't fulfilling the expectations and duties of moderator, then we want to hear about it. Our inbox is monitored only by our Head Admin and, as such, you can send us a message with complete confidence and confidentiality. We treat all feedback on our staff members with tact, thoughtfulness and an open mind, so we encourage you to get in touch. We want our forum to be welcoming and enjoyable and, if someone is spoiling the experience, we want to know about it.

[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Member Credits

[attr="class","enc_sub"]What they are and how they work.

Your member credits are a form of forum currency that is separate from your character and used to improve character statistics through the purchase of items and goods. They can also be used for out-of-character items like custom side bar images.

Each account has their own member credits and they cannot be transfered between each other. This is to stop a member from roleplaying loads as one character but using the credits/points to bump up another who hasn't even been on the boards yet. The more you roleplay with each of your characters, the more they (respectively) can be given bonus material or items.

[attr="class","enc_head"]II. Gaining Credits

[attr="class","enc_sub"]How to increase your credits.

MONTHLY CASH UP
At the end of each month, the Aludium staff will process the in-character posts that each member on the site has contributed. The number of credits awarded is 3 times the number of posts. The credits are then added to the member's accounts by the staff and are then at your disposal to use, as you wish.

SPECIAL MISSIONS
You can gain extra credits, items and rewards by completing Special Missions. These are limited roleplayer plots that are advertised by Aludium staff and designed to be plot heavy. The reward for completing said threads is stipulated at the mission announcement and could be a number of things, including increased statistics or credits.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Special Missions

MEMBER TRANSFER
Members can transfer money between each other. If a member has done something particularly nice, or made you a graphic, or given you feedback on your writing (for example) you might want to reward them by transfering them some of your credits as a thank you. Just remember that Member Transfers are different from In-Character Trading.

IN-CHARACTER TRADING
While your Strength, Agility and Defense cannot be traded or bartered, your character's Wealth is open for use. Maybe you need to bribe someone to let you into a private location. Perhaps you rob someone of their purse (with their creator's permission of course) and need to transfer their money into your pocket. You can do this through the Emporium also, but remember that this form of trading requires your Wealth and not your user Credits.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Fighting Statistics

SPREADING THE WORD
You can also gain credits by helping out staff team to advertise Aludium across the internet. We offer credit rewards for each time our advert is posted out on a forum. You can read more about how to do this on our Affiliate With Us page.

We don't just ask our members to post our name about the place for free! For every time you place our ad out on a forum somewhere, you can claim +10 Credits. Simply send the below form to the admin team each time you post the ad (you can post several in one form, if you've posted it more than once) and your advertising credits will be added to your final monthly total, ready for the monthly payout.

While site advertisement is part of the responsibilities for each staff member role, staff members can also claim the +10 credits per advertisement posted.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Affiliate With Us

[attr="class","enc_head"]III. Using Credits

[attr="class","enc_sub"]How to spend your credits.

IMPROVE YOUR CHARACTER
You can use your member credits to purchase in-character items at the Aludium Emporium, in order to improve your character's statistics. You purchase these items with credits and they are then transferred to your back-pack. The reward/improvement that the item gives is then added to your character's statistics.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: The Emporium

IMPROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
See Member Transfers, above.

IMPROVE YOUR PROFILE
You can use your credits for member-use as well as to improve your character. In the Aludium Emporium you can purchase out-of-character items such as personalised side bars (the coloured bar beside your mini profile), or additional tools like items that increase how many credits you can accrue in each Monthly Cash Up. For a full list of the out of character items, go to the Aludium Emporium.

[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Fighting Statistics

[attr="class","enc_sub"]How to judge your roleplay development.

Your character's statistics are an aesthetic addition to Aludium that work as guidelines for how you might play out certain in-character circumstances, when writing. They are: Strength, Agility, Defense and Wealth. When your character becomes involved in a confrontation or physical entanglement, it is important to keep an eye on the character statistics of the person they are involved with. There are no hard and fast mathematical rules to be applied here, only the agreement that realistic and believable results are made through your writing. For example, it is unlikely that someone with 2 Agility points would be able to outrun a character with 100 Agility points.

If there is ever a disagreement between roleplayers that the written circumstances do not match the character statistics of the players involved, then you need to message a member of staff to consult on the issue. Their decision is then final. You can find how to do this at the bottom of this page.

Just for clarification, the definition of each attribute, and how it might be used within a scenario or story, is laid out below, for your reference.

[attr="class","enc_head"]II. Strength

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Your physical strength and sturdiness of body.

Your character's physical strength. This may become prevalent in how much weight they can lift, whether they would be able to lift themselves up over something or push up against something that has fallen on them. It might affect how good they would be at swinging a lightsabre or participating in an arm-wrestle. Can your character lift falling doors, push free of a cage, master the manual controls of a ship falling out of orbit... All these things may be something to consider if there are two characters in a scene - one stronger than the other.

[attr="class","enc_head"]III. Agility

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Your physical speed and power of your movements.

Your character's physical speed. This might be useful to consider if your character is being chased, if they are chasing someone else, if they need to reach a location quickly or dodge the swing of a weapon. They may need to dart quickly across an open space and avoid being shot, or they might be attempting to start up a kinetic energy motor with a pedal bike. Whatever situation requires speed of movement - this is the attribute to consider.

[attr="class","enc_head"]IV. Defense

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Your ability to stay undetected and/or avoid injury.

Your character's Defense is a mixture of Stealth and Cunning. This is your character's ability to avoid confrontation - to sneak around, out think their opponent or manage to not have to engage in combat at all. A good Strength and Defense combo might also mean that they are a strong physical opponent who has an infallible physical defense. A good Agility and Defense combo might mean that your character is particularly good at dodging gun fire or weapon attacks.

[attr="class","enc_head"]V. Wealth

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Your in-character wealth and power.

Your character's wealth is a statistic of its own. There may be some places, events or plots that require you to be wealthy to enter or attend. There may be certain people in the universe who don't trust the wealthy upper classes, or those who look down on the poor.

Please note that your character's Wealth is for in-character purposes only. It cannot be used to purchase goods at the Emporium and are an asset of your character, not your member profile.

[attr="class","enc_head"]VI. Credits

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Your out-of-character money.

Just to confirm - your member credits are the form of money/wealth that you can spend in the Emporium and in out-of-character scenarios. Your credits are assigned based on forum participation. These are different from your character's Wealth. For more information on Credits, you need to go to the Gaining Credits and Purchasing Items page.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Credits and Purchases

[attr="class","enc_head"]VII. Increasing Statistics

[attr="class","enc_sub"]How to improve your Strength, Agility and Defense.

CHARACTER ACCEPTANCE
When your character application is first accepted, by a member of our staff team, that staff member will assign 50 statistics points, divided across the three physical attributes: Strength, Agility, Defense. They will then add the appropriate Wealth to your character, based on their background. These values are decided by the member of staff based on the biographical description you have written for your character and are non-negotiable.

IN-CHARACTER ITEMS
You can increase your natural statistics and wealth, after acceptance, by purchasing in-character items at the Aludium Emporium. Each item in the Emporium has it's own statistic bonus to attach to your character upon purchase. When your apply to purchase an item from the Emporium, the item will be added to your Backpack and the attribute bonus will be added to your statistics.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: The Emporium

[attr="class","enc_head"]VIII. Decreasing Statistics

[attr="class","enc_sub"]You cannot spend or lose Strength, Agility and Defense.

You cannot lose or spend your statistics like money. Just because your character ran a marathon does not mean their Strength or Agility suddenly drops. Your statistics are not used as currency but as permanent features of your character. What you can do, however, is request a change in them. If your character has suffered a paralysing accident or trained their body to become particularly fast or done something major in their storyline that significantly changes the appropriate statistics of your character, then you can message a member of staff and request a change in your attribute statistics. These changes, however, are only done on a switch basis - if you want to increase one of your attributes, you have to lose them from somewhere else. This is not a way of increasing your attributes - only reshuffling or losing them entirely. To increase your statistics, you must purchase items from the Emporium or (in the case of Wealth) trade them with other members (see above).

[b]STATISTICS CHANGE REQUEST[/b]

[b]Statistics to Change:[/b]
As stated. Remember to include by how much.

[b]Reason for Change:[/b]
What has happened to cause this change?

[attr="class","enc_link"]Submit Your Request

[attr="class","enc_head"]VII. Report a Discrepancy

[attr="class","enc_sub"]If you don't think someone is following the statistics.

If you're roleplaying with someone and their character behaves in a way that does not seem to make sense with the statistics you each have, and you're worried that there is an unfair discrepancy, then we recommend first speaking with the member involved. Politely explain your concerns and feelings that the events have unfolded incorrectly and see if they are willing to change their post. If they refuse, explain their side and you still believe the circumstances to be wrong, then please message the admin team to intervene. A staff member will read the thread in question and make a decision on whether the writing has been creative in its use of the statistics given, or has simply overriden them. This staff member's decision is final.

[b]STATISTIC DISCREPANCY[/b]

[b]Link to Thread:[/b]
As stated.

[b]Reason for Concern:[/b]
Where and how do you think the thread does not loyally follow the statistics of the characters involved?

[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Global Plot

[attr="class","enc_sub"]What's happening on the site, currently.

Whenever our staff refer to the global plot of the site, we mean the main setting and timeframe within which we are currently operating. As our site is an escalated timeline roleplay and we plan to eventually work through the history of the Star Wars universe, it is important to keep in mind what year we're currently at, and the galactic setting we're working in. For more information on the global plot and current timeline of the site use the button below to go to the Current Timeline page.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Current Timeline

[attr="class","enc_head"]II. Events

[attr="class","enc_sub"]The "big deal" crises of the moment.

Events are the main circumstances or scenarios that appear within our global/current plot. This might include a particular stand off between the Jedi and the Sith. It might be the destruction of a planet, or the call to arms of an empire. It will always, however, have galactic and global ramifications on the site. There are opportunities to avoid these events, if you so wish, but generally they will be in effect - even if just in the background - of most roleplaying threads. Below is a list of the current events taking place...

THE RAKATA INFINITE EMPIRE

The reach and power of the Infinite Empire has spurned division and derision amongst the peoples of the galaxy. Some believe the creed and edicts of the empire, while others are sympathisers out of selfish fears and means. Others stand against the Rakata people either internally or with loud protest. Then there are those who stay out of politics altogether, who grumble or murmur in bars and cantinas but never have the courage to speak aloud when a Rakata walks by.

THE FORCE SENSITIVES

At the other end of the spectrum are the force-users that the Infinite Empire have enslaved and manipulated. Forced to feel and constantly entertain the dark side of their emotions - some without any Force training at all - in order to fuel the Rakata's sky-ships and technologies. One can only theorise and fear what these enslaved Force-sensitives will do if freed.

[attr="class","enc_head"]III. Special Missions

[attr="class","enc_sub"]For the dedicated roleplayer.

For the roleplayers among you looking for an extra challenge in their writing, we have the special missions. These are character focused, small-frame events that could be settled in one or a few threads. Some are open to everyone, some are specific to certain communication groups. Just click on the images below to be sent through to the full mission breakdown and, if you're unable to access the information, then it's not a mission for your kind of character. These missions can be fully open or they can have limited places in the key roles. Our staff work hard to ensure that are always a few open missions at any one time, as not all missions will suit every character. So, if there isn't one that takes your fancy at the moment, remember to check back later.

For those who are interested in taking on the challenge, we offer monetary or item rewards for completing the below missions. Different missions have different rewards; some reward all those who participate in the thread(s); others only reward those in leading mission roles. If you miss the opportunity to be one of the lead players in a mission, you can always play as a sidekick or adversary - all special missions threads are open to all. However, for some missions, only the key/lead players will achieve the reward at the end. So, jumping in after the fact will just be for fun.

MISSION: KABOOM!

MISSION: HOME SAFE

MISSION: IT'S PAYDAY

[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Open Threads

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Getting the roleplaying started...

It's great to develop an on-going or private plot with another member, but it's also important to let creativity strike where it might and create an open thread for others to join in with. The spontaneity of an unplanned thread can make you look at your character and their capabilities in a new way. So remember to create threads that are open to the whole forum, and then post those threads here, so that others can find them.

[attr="class","enc_head"]II. Create an Open Thread

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Letting everyone know...

When creating an open thread, remember to make the post content open to interpretation, so as not to limit the kinds of characters that could respond. It's also a good idea to end your post with some kind of instigation or event so that others have something to focus on and work with. Once you've created your open thread, remember to post it here so that others can find it and join in the roleplaying fun. Just send the below code to the admin team and they'll add your thread to the list.

Medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. That you are here; that life exists, that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?

[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Plotting Resources

[attr="class","enc_sub"]A checklist of resources.

This page isn't very complicated and acts as a sort of portal to all the pages you may need to improve the plotting of your character. If you are looking for more opportunities to plot with others and develop your character's story further, then use the below checklist to make sure you aren't missing out on opportunities already waiting for you!

[attr="class","enc_head"]II. Global Plots

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Making the world go round.

It's always good to read up on our Global Plots, to work out where and how your character can fit in. You can read up on the latest Global Plots by going to the appropriate encyclopedia page, or you can go to the discussion thread specifically tailored for the current global plot, in our plotting board.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Current Timeline

[attr="class","enc_head"]III. Events and Special Missions

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Keeping things exciting.

We regularly have special events and missions in action on the site for those who are looking for a writing challenge. To find out about our current opportunities and to read up on on-going events, simply go to the Events and Special Missions page. There, you can read about each active plot and find links to the appropriate discussion pages.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Events and Special Missions

[attr="class","enc_head"]IV. Plot Trackers

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Plotting with other members.

Some sites have Plot Pages and Thread Trackers, but at Aludium we have the two combined. Check out our guide on how to create a plot tracker, and remember to look at other characters' trackers to keep an eye out for interesting plotting opportunities.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Creating a Plot Tracker

[attr="class","enc_head"]V. Plot Discussion

[attr="class","enc_sub"]You can chat with other members outside of the plot trackers.

If you want to discuss current, on-going plots (global or mission-based) or suggest plot lines or stories that you might want to roleplay with others, then simply create a thread in the Plotting Discussion board and chat with the other members of the site. Remember to update your plot trackers when you have something concrete and remember to partake in the pinned/global plot threads too!

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Plotting Discussion

[attr="class","enc_head"]VI. Communicators

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Keeping in contact with the plots around you.

Our character communicators are both an extra facet of our roleplaying community but also operate as independent information sources. Upon acceptance, your character will automatically be factored into only certain communicator signals and will, therefore, receive the information only accessible to them. We hope that this encourages an interesting dynamic and carries with it unique plotting opportunities. To see how to create a communicator and become a part of these messages, just go to the Communicators and Hacking Signals page in the encyclopedia.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Communicators and Signals

[attr="class","enc_head"]VII. Purchasing Items

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Enhance your roleplaying experience.

You can improve your character experience or open new doors for your character and their plots by enhancing them with items from the Aludium Emporium. If you are unsure how character credits and the purchasing of items is supposed to work, then simply check out the appropriate encyclopedia page. If you already know, head straight over to the emporium.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Credits and Purchases

[attr="class","enc_head"]VIII. Open Threads

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Join open threads and embrace spontaneity.

Stuck for a thread to join or start? Check out the Open Threads List for the threads that have already been set in motion by other members. If you still can't find something that takes your fancy, then try starting your own open thread and add it to the list to inspire others to join.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Open Threads List

[attr="class","enc_head"]IX. Expanding the Galaxy

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Opening up new worlds.

While we hope to one day be home to the most extensive Star Wars roleplay boards on the net, our staff are very aware that to have hundreds of roleplayable planets from day one can be overwhelming and off-putting to new members. Instead, we'll be expanding the worlds available as our member list increases. This way, new members don't feel an over-whelming pressure to single-handedly explore and fill each planet with their writing. If you're feeling frustrated by the plotting limitations placed on you by the current timeline and open categories of the galaxy, we recommend working to expand it. Once our member count has become large enough that more roleplay boards seem needed, our staff will be happy to open up the next stage of galactic travel. You can help to increase our membership by spreading the word of Aludium and helping with advertisement. For more information on our site's advertisement and the rewards you can request from spreading it around the internet, just go to the below page...

[attr="class","enc_head"]II. Requirements to be Staff

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Anyone that wishes to be a staff member must meet the following requirements.

The absolutely necessary level of roleplay required is a good, standardised use of the English language. We're all human and we all occasionally make mistakes but, in general, we expect accurate spelling and grammar and several paragraphs per post as an approximate minimum. We do not penalise against American English or British English spellings - both are acceptable.

[attr="class","enc_link"]Go To: Global Site Information

[attr="class","enc_head"]III. How to Apply

[attr="class","enc_sub"]If you want to be a staff member, here's how you do it...

STAFF RECRUITMENT
When we have an opening in the Aludium staff team, you'll find a notice will go up on this page and out through the global communicator to all members. We like to make sure that everyone is aware when we have a new staff position so that everyone who is interested has the chance of approaching a staff member to apply. If you have come to this page through one of these advertisements, then use the code below the apply for the appropriate role.

VOLUNTARY APPLICATIONS
We're also open to voluntary applications, even when we aren't actively seeking new staff. If you have read all of the above requirements, and believe that you meet them, and would like to apply for one of the above stated staffing positions then you need to complete the below code and send it to our admin team at . Just copy the code below and click the button to be sent through to the appropriate messaging page. We will respond to your application as soon as we can. It may be that, at that time, we do not feel that we need any more staff members. Alternatively, we may believe that you can add something to the team. Either way, we will have your name in our heads when it comes around to recruitment time... Please remember that no staffing position is confirmed until we have responded to your application.

[attr="class","enc_head"]IV. Planet Moderation

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Taking control of a planet.

Another staff position that we have available is the Planet Moderator role. This role operates slightly differently to the above and can be applied for at any time. We would like to get to the stage where every planet in our galaxy has a moderator to claim it as their own. This ensures widely diverse plots and locations for our members to visit and utilise. Please read the below description carefully, if you are considering becoming a planet moderator.

Please also note that a member can be both a planet moderator (and be responsible for the duties listed below, with regards to their particular planet) and one of the above global staff members, if they wish to. In doing this, they receive both credit amounts for their monthly reward, but only the highest value in the other rewards. For example, if a member was both a Site Moderator and a Planet Moderator, they would receive an extra 120 credits per month, and receive 50% at the Emporium (not 60%).

PLANET MODERATOR
As a planet moderator you are a member of the staffing team who handles the history of a specific planet. It is your responsibility to launch new plots, settings or ideas based on the current history of your particular planet. [attr="class","enc_head"]V. Creating a Planet

[attr="class","enc_sub"]You can not only control, but create too.

You can not only become a planet moderator of a planet that is currently in existence, but create and moderate your own planet. Below is a list of planets that have limited information about them in the Star Wars universe. They are real planets, named at any one point in Canon and Expanded Universe Star Wars sources, but they have limited information and nearly no illustration of what they look like or who lives there. As such, they are open to creative license. If your application to "create" a planet is accepted, you are automatically that planet's moderator and a member of the staff team.

As the global plot of the site continues, more areas of the expanded universe galaxy will become available to roleplay. Within them will be more planets with limited canon information that will then be open to be moderated too. So, as time goes on, the below list will grow...

[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Your Feedback

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Good or bad, we want to know what you think!

The only way that Aludium can improve is by knowing what we can do better. And what we do well (so that we don't accidentally change something that is, in fact, a winner). We would, therefore, love to hear your comments - just send us your comments about the site and we'll be happy to see what we can do about improving the Aludium experience.

Sometimes your feedback or suggestions can relate to big things and therefore take time to change or implement. A broken link (a link that doesn't appear to go to the right location) or a broken image (something that displays as a box rather than a picture) is something that can be fixed straight away. If you spot one of these, please don't hesitate to send us the below message.

When you send us your feedback, we'll respond directly to you, but also post your comments (unless you specify a request for confidentiality) and our response to those comments below. This saves anyone from making the same suggestion twice and encourages others to be unafraid of being vocal in their thoughts. We hope this helps you to help us!
