03. Current Timeline
We don’t read and write because it’s cute. We read and write because we are members of the human race And the human race is filled with passion. Medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. That you are here; that life exists, that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?

[attr="class","enc_head"]I. Current Plotline

[attr="class","enc_sub"]The Infinite Empire.

The Infinite Empire, as the Rakata call themselves, have targeted worlds that are rich with the Force, which they have conquered, thus enslaving their populations. The Rakata have developed technology that allows them to induce fear and hatred within Force-sensitive beings, and then use their Force-sensitive slaves (gathered from among the populations they have conquered) to fuel their warships and technology. They do this by placing the Force-sensitives into machines that convert their dark side emotions into energy.

Circa 30,000 BBY, the Rakata had already tunneled through hyperspace in order to lay claim to a vast Infinite Empire that now gives them galactic dominance. Their extensive civilization has spread across countless star systems. Through the use of their dark side-fueled technologies such as the Force-powered hyperdrive, the Builders' Infinite Empire has dominated known space for several thousand years already. Many of the most prominent worlds of the galaxy are included within this empire, such as Corellia, Honoghr, Generis, Hijarna, Xo, and Dantooine. All fall under their dominion. However, their hyperdrives can only visit worlds possessing strong force signatures - and not those naturally low in the Force - resulting in huge voids in between their conquered worlds. The haphazardous nature of their empire has allowed for numerous other civilizations to flourish, and loose confederacies of other civilizations have managed to develop in the spaces between Rakatan worlds through the use of dangerous, as well as unpredictable, hyperdrive technology.

[attr="class","enc_head"]II. Factions

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Rakarta Loyalists vs. Force Sensitives.

The reach and power of the Infinite Empire has spurned division and derision amongst the peoples of the galaxy. Some believe the creed and edicts of the empire, while others are sympathisers out of selfish fears and means. Others stand against the Rakata people either internally or with loud protest. Then there are those who stay out of politics altogether, who grumble or murmur in bars and cantinas but never have the courage to speak aloud when a Rakata walks by.

At the other end of the spectrum are the force-users that the Infinite Empire have enslaved and manipulated. Forced to feel and constantly entertain the dark side of their emotions - some without any Force training at all - in order to fuel the Rakata's sky-ships and technologies. One can only theorise and fear what these enslaved Force-sensitives will do if freed.

[attr="class","enc_head"]III. Current Technology

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Hyperdrive technology has been developed and is steadily becoming available.

With the expansion of hyperdrive technology and the ability to sustain life for longer periods of time during space travel, the humans of inner core worlds have begun their colonisation of other planets. The Core Worlds have become populated and, though only existing for a few thousands years, so far, are flourishing. In the near future, further planets will be taken on as new living space and the Colonies region of the Galaxy will be an inhabitable location.

The hyperdrive technology itself, however, is still new and - when not powered by the Infinite Empire's force-slaves, can be highly volatile. It is a fair fact that you take your life into your own hands when traveling across great distances in space. A slower but safer route would be the travel in short journeys between the planets, one after another.

[attr="class","enc_head"]IV. The Jedi and the Sith

[attr="class","enc_sub"]Not what you might expect...

The republic's Jedi Order, as we know it, does not yet exist. The Force has no time or place and, therefore, is abundant in the universe, but the wielders of this power are few and far between. Within the worlds so far discovered by the people of the galaxy, only the planet Tython is Force rich and untouched by the Infinite Empire. It is here that The Je'daii Order, as it is currently known, have a temple and a way of life that strives to find balance between the light side of the force (Ashla) and the dark (Bogan). They believe in the ways of the Je'daii and follow a path between the two sides of the Force, aiming for balance in their own emotions and with the world around them.

The Sith are a race of people found on the planet Korriban. They can be force sensitive but are not a race of Force-users. Korriban is an Outer Rim world and currently unplayable. The dark Jedi 'Sith' as they are later known, do not currently exist.
